CLARIS WATER FILTER

I.P.W.S. Integrated Pure Water System: CLARIS filter cartridges can be used in Jura models with I.P.W.S. Based on the professional up flow principle, they filter out chalk and other substances detrimental to flavour and aroma. JURA recommends the use of CLARIS filters, especially where the local water contains more than 170 ppm of chalk.

* The CLARIS filter cartridge was specially developed for Jura coffee machines, it is inserted directly in the water tank.
* It is filled with organic material only - without chemical additives.
* The CLARIS filter cartridge protects your machine and increases it's life. The CLARIS system filters the causes of limescale along with other substances. Water with a high lime content can damage your coffee machine, lime deposits in the heating cartridge or the thermo-block and clogs the water pipes which ruins machines.
* The water is filtered to leave a much more pure water which will also improve the taste. A coffee is only as good as the water it is made with.

JURA developed a de-scaling tablet for the IMPRESSA which removes lime and protects your machine at the same time.

Use Claris Water Filters to limit the amount of limescale build up in your machine.

Descaler Instructions:

Remove the shower head filter and plate with a screwdriver (manual machines only), clear water exit hole (please refer to your manual for part number and description). Dissolve contents of sachet in the water tank with 1.5 ltres of water and turn on pump for 20 seconds. Wait 20 minutes and repeat. Wait 3 minutes. Flush through the steam pipe as if you were making steam. Repeat whole operation until the solution is finished and no scale remains in the water.

When finished, thoroughly rinse the machine by re-filling the water tank with fresh water (we recommended this should be done twice for the best results).

For bean-to-cup machines you will be prompted to carry out a descale programme. Please follow the instructions within the manual for each model.
